I have been either a student or a teacher for all but approximately 6 years of my life. Except for one quarter as a substitute math teacher at Appleton City, I've been privileged to teach Henry County, Missouri, students at Clinton High School, St. Mary's, and now at Montrose R-14, where I am beginning my thirteenth year as K-12 librarian and elementary library skills teacher. I earned a summa cum laude bachelor's degree in language arts education from the University of Central Missouri and a master of science degree in library and information science from there as well, with certification in instructional design. Visitors to our school can even find a picture of me among the MHS alumni photographs gracing the hallways! (Hint: our class motto was "Reach the Unreachable Star.")
I am at the library Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:40 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. and available to answer your telephone call if you have questions or comments except for when I am conducting classes. When I'm not at school, I am likely working on other pursuits at our cattle farm south of Appleton City.
