School closings will be listed on KDKD 95.3 radio (Clinton), KMOE 92.1 radio (Butler), and the major Kansas City television networks. We will also post this information on the Montrose R-XIV School District website.
In the event that we need to close school early due to weather or other emergency, we will verify that elementary students will be accounted for before taking them home. If we are not sure someone will be home to meet the bus, we will call parents. Therefore, please refrain from calling the school to ask about closings, as this makes it very difficult to get everyone contacted in a timely manner.
We will post the information on the website, and contact media outlets as soon as a decision is made.
